Blimey, looks like this might be true ffs, obviously we won't sell him for their first offer, but 80+ might get him, but City may not want to go that high.

There really wasn't any need to add the last paragraph, son, you love a bit of drama :-)

Seen fabrizio tweeting this. We are goosed if he goes.

Can you sell 55,000 ST's and then sell your only player who gets bums off seats?

Re: Lucas Paquetá
Quite a bit on the net about this, seems to have some legs as well.

Suppose it was always going to happen, he's a class act so at some point a bigger club was going to come in for him.

Maybe the best outcome will be getting a decent wedge and finding a replacement quickly, if the best side in the world comes knocking you don't turn it down so wont blame him if he goes. But will be disappointed that's for sure.

Re: Lucas Paquetá
He’s a quality player and will only get better under pep.

I can’t remember a club who’s had such a great end to a season, to go into the next season so fuming.

Re: Lucas Paquetá
If we sell him then that would definitely make us a ''selling club'' Rice was different for all the reasons we know, but mainly because it was 105 million quid profit. Selling this bloke for circa 35 mil profit wouldn't make any sense, and I believe we will put a ''not for sale'' up on him.

Hopefully City will accept he's not for sale and move on, I don't think they are a club who desperately keep coming back as we saw with Rice. Also have to hope Pacqueta doesn't throw his toys out and/or his agent starts kicking up fuck. Could be interesting.

This stinks whenever a club like us start to resemble a good team with some good players the big clubs move in and take your best players.
Making it extremely difficult to build anything.

It really does make you wonder why you bother.

Football really has turned to shit.

Re: Lucas Paquetá
good luck to him if he gets the move, anyone with a brain would want to get away from that jock minge. imagine laying out however much those bastards want for a season ticket, and this is the outcome. absolutely scandalous what's going on, but the dwarf cunt knows we're an easy touch so the piss taking continues

THIS ^^^^

I'd be so pissed off if this happens, more so than Rice leaving. We've only had a fucking half season of decent football out of him and he fucking owes us. I can accept he'll leave us eventually. maybe even at the end of the season, other wise what's the fucking point?

Whatever the offer , we have to say no. We have to send out a signal otherwise we're fucking toast. And as Nutsin says, why fucking bother with football these days?

Everyone has a price. And this will happen. Just not this summer.

Re: Lucas Paquetá
Shorty - Would tend to agree, and we are not even that sure how serious Man City are at this point, this story might just disappear in a day or two. Just have to hope it doesn't turn Paqueta's head and unsettle him.

Manuel - whys that I was reading through the Paqueta thread the other day, you said he'd never make a Premier league player :-)

Manuel

He can replace Dawson as the CB you love to hate :-)

Different rules apply to you eh.. Always bringing up my past comments.. Someone else does it 'get a life son'

Great comments in there like
There's a reason this girls blouse failed in Italy and why none of the big boys here wanted him, can you imagine a Klopp or a Pep suffering him, not to mention his team mates.

Another 50 mil down the drain.

So it's all good no way Pep wants him :-)

Re: Lucas Paquetá
We ain’t even signed anyone yet. And this story literally breaks at midnight.! This is to start a bidding war at worse.( Wasn’t the Geordies interested early in the window.?) Someone high up has put this one out there too test the waters and get a reaction. And not necessary worried about fallout. This has been released to see if we have any nibblers for Paqueta. And what price would most fans find acceptable.

Lee Trundle 9:20 Wed Aug 9
Re: Lucas Paquetá
I'd love to see Alex V's face when he reads this.

He suggested selling Paqueta for £15m the day after the European final (I'm not kidding).
